Phi Beta Kappa Zeta of Georgia Chapter Installation and Induction
The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society, installed the 285th chapter in its 240-year history at Mercer on April 9 in Fickling Hall. Following the installation, the new Zeta of Georgia chapter inducted its first class of members, 26 seniors and juniors in the College of Liberal Arts.
Middle Georgia Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association Reception
Mercer held a reception in Fickling Hall on April 9 for members of the Middle Georgia Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association to meet members of the University's chapter prior to that evening's installation and induction ceremony.
Phi Beta Kappa Luncheon
Representatives of The Phi Beta Kappa Society and the University gathered at the Woodruff House for a luncheon prior to Mercer's Zeta of Georgia chapter installation and induction ceremony.
Phi Beta Kappa Plaza Dedication
Mercer dedicated its Phi Beta Kappa Plaza on the morning of April 9 outside Willingham Hall. The plaza features a monument that includes a replica of the Phi Beta Kappa key mounted on granite from the foundation of the science building on the University's original Penfield campus.
